Introduction

 

The overall aims of the Business, Accounting and Financial Studies (BAFS) curriculum are:

 
  • To provide students at senior secondary level with fundamental business knowledge and skills, and develop their positive values and attitudes, so that they can fulfil their roles competently and confidently as consumers, investors, employees and /or entrepreneurs;
  • To develop students’ generic skills in research, analysis, leadership, team-building, communication, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving and transfer them to different domains;
  • To explore different aspects of business to prepare students for life, for learning and for employment.

Junior Curriculum

 

In junior computer classes, we aim to provide students with solid foundations in computer science. Key elements are:

科目簡介

 

健康管理與社會關懷科是香港高中課程的新科目。它提供一個學習情境,讓學生明白健康的概念與有關的健康措施,負起良好公民的責任,建立一個互相關懷的社會,建構一個善用本地優勢、切合本地需要的關懷及支援系統,讓我們有效地應付社會的轉變。健康管理與社會關懷科著重培養學生應有的知識與覺知,去面對不只影響個人生活,且涉及整個社會及世界的健康與社會問題。

健康管理與社會關懷課程由必修和選修兩個部分組成。必修部分包括五個主要課題,而選修部分則包括三個學習單元供學生選擇。各課題如下﹕

Introduction

 

Information and Communication Technology is based on the knowledge and skills obtained in the junior form Computer Literacy curriculum. It achieves a balance between breadth and depth of computer knowledge in order to help students for further studies or working. This curriculum compasses a wide range of topics and skills relevant to today's technological advancements. It focuses on providing students with a solid foundation in both theoretical concepts and practical applications of ICT.

The HKDSE ICT curriculum promotes active learning and student engagement. It encourages collaboration, problem-solving, and independent thinking, enabling students to explore, analyze, and communicate information effectively. Through this curriculum, students will sharpen their ICT skills and develop the confidence to navigate the ever-evolving digital landscape.

Introduction

 

Students are taught to do design work with different materials and to apply their knowledge of “Design” and “Technology” in problem-solving activities. The curriculum of ‘Design and Technology’ not only stresses the manipulation of tools, but also emphasises the suitable choice of materials as well as creativity during the project work. Home Economics

 

Introduction

 

The aim of the Home Economics education is to enable students to develop a caring attitude to others by understanding their changing needs throughout their lives. The learning of Home Economics helps students to understand the importance of a happy, well-organised home and ways of achieving it.

The knowledge of food and nutrition enables students to understand the relationship between nutrition and health. The knowledge in Needlework and Dress making helps students to develop aesthetic sense and creativity. Students can further their studies in food or fashion-related fields.

Curriculum Information

Junior Curriculum

 

Home Economics plays a role in all-round education in junior form curriculum. Students can experience different basic cooking and sewing methods as well as some home management skills during the 2-year junior curriculum.

The curriculum in S.1 focuses on management of self and family through teaching students sewing, home laundry, cooking, food and nutrition while the S.2 curriculum focuses on the management of resources through more advanced cooking and sewing skills, and applying such skills into environmentally friendly projects such as refashioning of old garments and low carbon diet.
