Our Curriculum – keeping pace with the times

To cultivate our students to cope with the 21^st century society, our school is always in line with the Education Bureau and global education development. For curriculum and teaching pedagogy, our school not only cares about students’ knowledge acquisition, but also emphasizes the balanced development of their 21^st century skills (including critical thinking, creativity, collaborating, and problem-solving skills), moral values and attitudes. To cater for student learning diversity, our school adopts student-centred learning pedagogy featuring innovative school-based curriculum with supportive learning and teaching measures.

Our school implements self-regulated learning strategies, mainly in the core subjects in junior forms.  Through pre-lesson home preparation, lesson presentation, and group interaction with peers, mutual learning and interaction among students is established. Learning effectiveness is further enhanced through after lesson assignments and information research. All these consolidate and extend what students have learnt in the lesson. To nurture students’ self-learning skills and habits, our school promotes extensive reading through delivering reading tactics incorporated with online learning resources. A pilot scheme of ‘flipped classroom’ is adopted in some subjects to provide students with multimedia learning materials of different levels, which facilitate students’ study after class and nurture their self-learning habits.
