Visual Arts

Introduction

The study of Visual Arts includes three areas: visual arts knowledge, visual arts appreciation and criticism, and visual arts making. Visual arts knowledge helps students observe and appreciate the natural and man-made environments. In the course of appreciating and criticizing artwork, students describe, analyze, interpret and judge the value of visual arts works, thus developing their personal aesthetic values. Students can use a variety of visual arts media and forms, such as drawing, painting, printmaking, design, craft, sculpture and new Visual Arts media and forms such as digital art, installation art and conceptual art to express their feelings and convey their ideas.
